The GLA is Mercedes-Benz's compact SUV, built on similar underpinnings to the A-Class but with a taller body and, on many versions, the option of all-wheel drive. Servicing generally follows the shared engine range but includes a few SUV-specific checks.
Generations and body styles
The X156 (2013-2020) was the first GLA, closely related to the W176 A-Class. The H247 (2020 onwards) moved to a taller, more SUV-styled body based on the newer platform, with a wider range of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid options.
