S tronic gearboxes
Many Audis use S tronic dual-clutch gearboxes, which have their own fluid service intervals, which are often missed.
About gearbox servicingBelt or chain
Audi uses both, depending on the engine. Many smaller TFSI petrols and TDI diesels use timing belts, while some larger TFSI engines use chains. Chain tensioner wear was a known issue on some earlier 2.0 TFSI engines.
